PRP and Micro-needling for hair restoration and Face Rejuvenation
WHAT IS PRP HAIR RESTORATION THERAPY?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a treatment that uses platelets found in your own blood to help naturally stimulate hair growth. During your appointment, blood is withdrawn through a needle and spun in a centrifuge for several minutes. As it spins, blood plasma will bond with other reparative factors within the sample to create PRP. The PRP solution is then re-administered into the scalp to stimulate the development of new hair follicles. PRP is one of the most natural solutions to safely and effectively promote healthy hair growth.
If you’ve experienced hair loss, PRP can be of help in a few ways. PRP treatments can promote the health of shrinking hair follicles, lead to a slowing down of hair loss. In some cases, you can even have new hair growth after effective PRP treatment.
Individuals who have undergone a hair transplant can use PRP to speed up the transplanted hair follicle’s growth cycle.
PRP treatments for hair restoration can be applied to the scalp in different ways. It is usually injected into scalp directly mostly targeting the hair loss areas, the injection can also be combined with a brief micro-needling procedure session with Topical PRP; depending on the individual’s extent of hair loss.
At our office we use Pro-Nox™ system to effectively reduce any pain or discomfort.
Pro-Nox™ is a pneumatically driven gas system designed to deliver a 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide mixture to patients for the relief of pain and anxiety. You will be alert and awake during the whole procedure and in control of the gas yourself, you ll breath into the gas as needed for the pain, the more you breath into it, the more you see the relaxing and numbing effect of the gas.

PRP FOR SKIN REJUVENATION
There are several benefits of PRP for skin rejuvenation and enhancement. PRP helps to stimulate collagen production, which is a natural protein found in the body that maintains the skin’s plumpness. Collagen production decreases as we age. Other factors like getting exposed to the sun and smoking can also exacerbate the drop in production. As a result, we get wrinkles and sagging skin.
PRP can be used also to restore the fresh, youthful look of skin by stimulating collagen production. Similar to hair restoration, this can be done in different ways. PRP can be injected along with facial fillers into target areas to reduce wrinkling.
This results in immediate rejuvenation with boosted collagen production, giving you long-lasting youthfulness. It can also be applied topically post a micro-needling procedure. PRP can even be used for scar reduction and removing certain types of depressed scars like those left behind after treating acne.
A combination of Pro-Nox™ and Topical numbing cream can be used for analgesia purposes depending on the extent of treatment.
